Who We Are
The Sodality is an association which aims at fostering a deep understanding of our Lord's great love, mercy and longing to be in close relationship with all of His created; and to increase the awareness that all were created with great purpose and infinite worth to love and to be loved. There are no defined attendance requirements, just a desire to grow in one's understanding of our Lord's great love, mercy and longing to be in close relationship with you and with all of His created; through an increase in understanding of Our Lord's Most Perfect and Sacred Heart.
The First Friday Events, which are encouraged but not required, offer fun for the entire family. Families and individuals gather as a community to partake in prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and celebration of the Mass. Throughout the year we include a family style dinner and inspiring reflections. Games and activities are offered for little ones during the reflections. Visit our Calendar of Events for details. Our First Friday events are held at St. Mary Magdalen Parish - 2618 S. Brentwood Blvd., Brentwood, Missouri 63144. Refer to website home page for current event schedule & location.
EVENT SCHEDULE
Monthly on the First Friday
4:30pm: Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Reconciliation, and Benediction
5:30pm: Celebration of the Holy Mass
Additionally on Select First Fridays:
February, April, September, & December - Plus in June on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
6:30pm: Dinner (free-will offering)
7:00pm: Reflection in Magdalen Room, lower level of church - Activities for children during Reflection
October - Annual Sodalist Enrollment During the First Friday Mass
7:00pm: After mass, Enrollment and Annual Awards Celebration (optional) at a local restaurant for Sodalists and their spouses. Reservation required.
